Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Eastbourne

Salary: £90 - £100 per day

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a mainstream primary school in Eastbourne. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs in a classroom setting.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 who require additional guidance to access the curriculum. This may include 1:1 support, small group interventions, or in-class assistance.

This role suits someone calm, nurturing, and ready to encourage confidence and independence in young learners.

Responsibilities:

Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning and development

Assist in delivering intervention programmes

Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Liaise with class teachers, SEN staff, and parents as needed

Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

Requirements:

Prior experience in a school or education setting is essential

Understanding of SEN, SEMH, or additional needs is desirable

Strong communication and team-working skills

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
