Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in their education? Do you have experience working with pupils who need a little extra help to reach their full potential?

Academics are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for long-term placements in a range of primary and secondary schools across the Walsall area. These are full-time, ongoing roles starting from September, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, both inside and outside of the classroom

Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement education and behaviour plans

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Support pupils with additional needs including SEND, SEMH, and those who require academic or emotional supportWe are looking for candidates who:

Have previous experience working with children or young people (in education, care, or similar settings)

Are patient, reliable, and resilient

Have a genuine passion for education and supporting learning

Can commit to full-time, long-term placements

Hold or are willing to obtain an enhanced DBS checkWhy work with Academics?
