Your Role Will Include:

Working 1:1 with a pupil with SEND, tailoring support to their EHCP targets

Creating a safe and encouraging space where the child feels confident to learn and grow

Supporting with both academic progress and emotional regulation

Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external specialists to adjust support as needed

Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm environment

What We’re Looking For:

Level 3 or 4 Learning Support qualification (or equivalent)

Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary setting, ideally on a 1:1 basis

A patient, compassionate nature and strong emotional awareness

Ability to adapt learning materials and strategies for individual needs

Confident behaviour management skills

Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service

Two references from recent educational settings
