Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - Full-Time

Location: Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire

Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Long-Term Role

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils in Key Stage 2?

Do you thrive in a classroom environment where no two days are the same?

We are currently working to support a vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in the stoke area, seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 2. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone confident supporting pupils in upper and lower KS2.

Role Overview:

- Provide classroom-based support across Years 3 to 6, adapting to different year groups as needed.

- Work alongside class teachers to reinforce lesson content, assist with classroom management, and deliver group or 1:1 interventions.

- Support pupils with varying needs - academic, social, and emotional - helping them stay on track and engaged in learning.

- Assist with planning, resourcing, and delivering targeted activities in maths, English, and topic work.

- Encourage independence, confidence, and a positive learning attitude in all pupils.

Who We're Looking For:

- Proven experience supporting children in a Key Stage 2 classroom.

- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and national learning objectives.

- Confident delivering interventions and supporting learning in core subjects.

- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

- Positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.

- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
