Description

KS2 Teaching Assistant / Mentor - September 2026 Start

Mainstream Primary School

Start Date: September 2026

Full-Time | Term-Time Only - Monday - Friday - 8.30am -3.30pm

Are you confident supporting children within KS2 and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning?

We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school, that are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Mentor to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026, so help build rapport with students in the school who need additional support both within the classroom, and also supporting some of them 1:1 in some quiet time outside the classroom, if they need time out to work in a more focused area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is calm under pressure, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children who may require additional behavioural and emotional support throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For:

Confidence in managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner

The ability to support children who may arrive at school upset, anxious, or dysregulated

A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate their emotions

The ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing situations throughout the school day

Strong relationship-building skills to help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn

Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable

The School Offers:

A supportive and experienced staff team

Ongoing training and development opportunities

A welcoming and inclusive school environment

The opportunity to make a lasting difference in children's educational journeys

If you're passionate about supporting children through their challenges and helping them succeed both emotionally and academically, we'd love to hear from you!
