Your new roleWe are seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the St Helens area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development, particularly in Key Stage 2.You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the curriculum, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The role may also involve working with children who have additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils in KS2 with their learning, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Provide support to children with additional needs (SEN), where required.Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. What you'll need to succeed

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs).Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.Enhanced DBS or at least willing to obtain one.
