Intervention Teacher

Location: Roehampton

Position: Intervention Teacher

Contract: Part time (2/3 days a week)

Salary: To scale

Start Time: ASAPVeritas Education are working with a lovely OFSTED-rated 'Good' primary school in Wandsworth who are looking to appoint an Intervention Teachers for a September 2026 start. Interviews and trial days for these Intervention Teacher positions will be taking place at the beginning of the academic year. We are currently seeking a qualified Primary Intervention Teacher for a full-time or part-time role across KS1 and KS2. The successful Intervention Teacher must hold QTS and have previous experience working within primary schools. Working hours for this Intervention Teacher role are typically 8:15am - 4:00pm, with flexibility available for part-time applicants.

This Primary Intervention Teacher role is ideal for a passionate and dedicated teacher who is committed to making a real difference to pupil's progress through targeted intervention support.

As an Intervention Teacher, you will be joining a highly talented and supportive team of staff, governors, and families who make the school a very special place to be. This ethos is reflected through their strong focus on learning, creativity, and commitment to the health and well being of the whole school community.

Key Responsibilities for the Intervention Teacher:

Deliver targeted intervention sessions to groups of pupils across KS1 and KS2

Support pupils in achieving their learning goals in core subjects

Develop and implement tailored lesson plans and strategies to meet individual learning needs

Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate

Help build pupil's confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning

Work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to ensure intervention support is effectiveTo be considered for this Intervention Teacher role, you will:

Absolutely hold QTS, this is essential

Have strong teaching experience within a primary school setting

Have high expectations for learning and behaviour

Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills

Be able to engage and motivate pupils, fostering a positive learning environment

Have previous experience as an Intervention Teacher or delivering targeted interventions (desirable but not essential)ECTs, experienced teachers, and international teachers with QTS are all encouraged to apply for this Intervention Teacher opportunity.
