Description
As an Internal Quality Assurer, a typical day might include: Sampling learners completed work to ensure assessment decisions are accurate, fair and consistent. Reviewing assessors' feedback and assessment practices against awarding organisation and regulatory requirements. Conducting quality assurance checks and maintaining audit trails to demonstrate compliance. Providing guidance, coaching and developmental feedback to assessors to support continuous improvement. Holding standardisation meetings to ensure all assessors apply assessment criteria consistently. Monitoring learner progress and achievement data, identifying trends or areas requiring intervention. Preparing for External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits and ensuring all required documentation is available and up to date. Investigating and resolving quality concerns, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Involved in valuable initial assessments in order to make sure the learners are registered on the right course.Updating quality assurance records, reports and action plans. Working closely with assessors and curriculum teams to promote high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across programmes.Supporting the Quality and Compliance Manager in maintaining our quality and achievement tracking and monitoring systems, preparing regular quality reports, highlighting current position and leading on actions identified.Work with teams to share best practice, develop improvements, and maintain strong outcomes. Working as part of the wider quality team to ensure all tasks are covered in line with timescales as required. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
