The Position - HLTA

The school is seeking a confident and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering classes across the school when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned lessons, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task. You will also lead small group and 1:1 interventions to support pupils' academic progress, particularly in literacy and numeracy, and provide in-class support where needed. The role requires someone who can adapt quickly, manage behaviour effectively, and support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND. The ideal candidate will be organised, flexible, and confident working across different year groups, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
