Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Greenwich (near Blackheath)

Start Date: January | Trialling ASAP

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Pay: £110-£130 per day

About the Role

A welcoming and well-resourced Greenwich primary school is seeking a confident HLTA to join their team from January. The school is known for its strong leadership, calm environment, and inclusive ethos. This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for more responsibility.

You will work mainly across Upper KS2, delivering interventions, leading small groups, and covering whole-class teaching during teacher PPA and absence. The school provides planning support and clear guidance to ensure HLTA-led lessons run smoothly.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is hoping to appoint an HLTA who:

Has prior experience across KS2

Is confident delivering pre-planned lessons and managing a class independently

Can support pupils in English and Maths catch-up sessions

Brings a positive, professional, and proactive attitude

Holds HLTA status or has strong experience equivalent to HLTA level
