Job DescriptionHays Education are working with a mainstream school based in Allerton who are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join them on a full–time basis.The role will involve:

Deliver high–quality learning activities to individuals, groups, and whole classes in the absence of the teacherProvide targeted support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activitiesWork closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement targets from EHCPs, IEPs, and support plansPlan, prepare, and adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needsAssess, record, and report on pupils' progress and attainmentSupport communication, language development, and social interactionPromote emotional wellbeing, self–regulation, and positive behaviour strategiesEncourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learningPrevious Experience Required

HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experiencePrevious experience leading learning activities within a classroom environmentExperience working with children with SEN in mainstream or specialist settingsWhat Hays Education Offers
