Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Prepatory School – Richmond Upon Thames

Full Time | Start Date: 16th April

Working Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £95 – £114 per day (via anzuk Education)

anzuk Education are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded independent school in Richmond Upon Thames in their search for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic full‑time opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learning and making a meaningful impact across a wide age range.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to join the school from Tuesday 16th April. The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 4–13, delivering targeted intervention sessions primarily in:

* English

* Maths

* Science

You will work closely with class teachers, learning support staff, and school leaders to raise attainment and help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver small‑group and 1:1 interventions across core subjects

* Support teaching and learning in classrooms where required

* Provide high‑quality learning support tailored to individual pupil needs

* Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment in collaboration with teachers

* Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and positive learning environment

* Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

Requirements

* HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience

* Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science

* Experience supporting xjnqpsq pupils in primary or lower‑secondary settings

* Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills

* A proactive, collaborative, and child‑centred approach

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through anzuk)
