Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Tuebrook, Liverpool (L13)

Contract: Full-time, Term-time

Pay Rate: £95–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

We are working in partnership with a friendly, inclusive school that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic full-time position running through to the end of the academic year, offering responsibility, variety, and the chance to play a key role in pupils’ academic and personal development.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the school’s HLTA, you will play an important part in supporting teaching and learning across the school:

Lead and Deliver Lessons

Take the lead on delivering pre-planned lessons across various year groups, stepping in confidently whenever needed.

Support Class Teachers

Assist with planning, preparing classroom resources, and ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.

Provide Targeted Intervention

Work with pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis to raise attainment, boost confidence, and help them reach key milestones.

Promote a Positive Learning Environment

Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued, supported, and ready to learn.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

A recognised HLTA qualification or substantial equivalent experience.

Strong behaviour management and the confidence to lead learning independently.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A proactive, caring approach and a genuine passion for supporting children’s education.
