Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Kings Norton. This is a full–time role, starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the school, covering classes to provide teacher release time (PPA cover) and delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress across the school.

The Role Will Include:

Providing whole–class cover during teacher release time

Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with school expectations

Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions to support learning

Supporting pupils' academic progress and engagement

Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders

Maintaining positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold HLTA status (or equivalent experience)

Have experience working across the primary age range

Be confident covering classes independently

Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Be proactive, flexible, and reliable

Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning
