Job Title: School Grounds Person

Full-time: temporary/Permanent, All Year-Round Position

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 Depending on experience

Location: Ealing, W5

Start: as soon as possible

Complete classroom services are seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Grounds person to join a busy school Estates Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of upkeep, appearance, and security across our Sports Fields and surrounding grounds.

This is a varied and hands-on role, working mainly outdoors in all weathers, and requires an individual with strong practical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to health and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and prepare sports pitches, lawns, and grounds to a high standard.

Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.

Ensure all grounds, pathways, and outdoor facilities are safe, secure, and well presented.

Carry out seasonal grounds keeping tasks, including line marking, grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, and pitch preparation.

Support wider Estates Team with general site duties when required.

Uphold school policies on child protection, discipline, health and safety, and safeguarding.The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or a similar outdoor role.

Ability to use a range of horticultural and grounds maintenance equipment.

Knowledge of health & safety practices and safe working procedures.

Flexible, reliable, and able to work well both independently and within a team.

A genuine interest in creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.What the school offers:
