Geography Teacher

Location: Hackney

Salary: £185 – £265 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Long Term until July 2026

GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging Geography lessons and support students’ academic progress in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the permanent teacher. You will play a key role in inspiring students and promoting a love for Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Accountabilities of the Role:

Ensure all students reach their full potential through high-quality teaching.

Build positive relationships and maintain high standards of behaviour.

Track and monitor student progress effectively.

Stay up to date with developments in Geography education.

Work collaboratively with the Geography Subject Leader to support curriculum delivery.

Contribute to school policies and promote equality and inclusion.

Support the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities.

Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community.

Help develop and enhance the Geography provision within the school.

Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.

Carry out additional duties as reasonably required by senior staff.

Requirements for Geography Teacher:

Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Degree in Geography or a related subject.

Experience teaching Geography up to Key Stage 4.

Strong classroom management and subject knowledge.

Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare. xjnqpsq
