Description
Learning Support Assistant - Full Time (Primary)
Location: Daventry (NN11)
Hours: Full time, term time
We are currently working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Daventry who are looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a supportive, inclusive school environment where pupils are encouraged to feel confident, safe and ready to learn.
The Role
You will be supporting children with additional needs across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers and the wider support team. The role will involve a mix of 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils to engage with learning, develop independence and build positive relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with additional needs within the classroom and in intervention sessions
Assisting with adapted learning activities and resources
Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
Helping pupils feel settled, supported and confident throughout the school day
Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress
The School Environment
The school offers a calm, nurturing setting with a strong sense of community. Staff work closely together and place a real emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing and helping every child reach their potential. Pupils benefit from an engaging curriculum and a supportive atmosphere where they are encouraged to enjoy learning and take pride in their achievements. xjnqpsq
