The school is recognised for its welcoming, friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community, often described by pupils, staff, and parents as a “big family”. Staff wellbeing is a genuine priority, with leaders committed to ensuring workload is manageable and professional development is meaningful.

A hands-on, practical curriculum at the heart of learning

A highly experienced and supportive leadership team

Excellent specialist rooms and up-to-date equipment

Strong collaboration between teachers and in-house technicians

High uptake and consistently strong results in D&T subjects

A culture of innovation, with new projects and curriculum ideas regularly developed

Students in Key Stage 3 receive weekly D&T lessons delivered through a rotation model, ensuring exposure to all specialisms. At Key Stage 4, the faculty offers a broad and dynamic mix of courses, with ongoing evaluation of new qualifications to keep the curriculum fresh and relevant.
