The Role

* ASAP start available

* Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in a supportive Cardiff secondary school

* Competitive pay rate of £16.11 per hour

* Prepare ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical Food Technology lessons

* Support teachers and pupils during practical cooking activities

* Maintain food preparation areas, kitchens, and equipment to a high standard

* Monitor stock levels and order ingredients and supplies when required

* Ensure food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures are followed at all times

* Assist with displays, events, competitions, and whole-school projects

* Support students in developing confidence and practical life skills through food education

Requirements

* Previous experience working within a school, food technology department, catering environment, or similar setting

* Good understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and health & safety procedures

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is desirable or willingness to register

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

* Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning
