The Role

ASAP start available

Full–time, temp–to–perm opportunity in a supportive Cardiff secondary school

Competitive pay rate of 16.11 per hour

Prepare ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical Food Technology lessons

Support teachers and pupils during practical cooking activities

Maintain food preparation areas, kitchens, and equipment to a high standard

Monitor stock levels and order ingredients and supplies when required

Ensure food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures are followed at all times

Assist with displays, events, competitions, and whole–school projects

Support students in developing confidence and practical life skills through food education

Requirements

Previous experience working within a school, food technology department, catering environment, or similar setting

Good understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and health & safety procedures

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is desirable or willingness to register

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning
