We are seeking to recruit an accountant to fill this key role within the College’s Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Further Education College with a turnover of over £50m and a reputation for outstanding financial management.

You will be responsible for reporting on the College’s Cash Flow and Balance sheets position on a monthly basis. This supports investment decision making and contributes towards the delivery of the organisation's financial strategy. You will be a key player working across the organisation on capital and revenue projects.

Ideally a fully qualified accountant, you will have proven experience of dealing with cash and balance sheets forecasting, sound technical knowledge together with excellent IT Skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

Your excellent communication skills and strong customer focus will enable you to build effective relationships within the wider organisation and explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues. You will be required to proactively address any issues which impact on College’s balance and cash flow as matters arise.

The College is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse community and welcomes applications from individuals across all sectors. We aim to reflect the diversity of our student population in our staff profile, ensuring that we provide the best possible experience and environment for our learners. Our goal is to continue to develop a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive workplace where all staff can thrive.

Please note if you are selected for the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College’s premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply. xjnqpsq
