Facilities Coordinator Opportunity - Canning Town, east London

The Role

We are seeking a dependable and proactive Facilities Coordinator to take responsibility for the upkeep, security, and smooth day-to-day running of a school in Canning Town.

This is a hands-on role involving a wide range of responsibilities, including:

* General maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs

* Grounds upkeep and site presentation

* Managing supplies and equipment

* Conducting regular health and safety compliance checks

* Identifying and reporting potential hazards

* Supervising contractors and liaising with external service providers

* Supporting the preparation of events and activities

* Acting as a key contact for emergency callouts

The role requires someone practical, organised, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. You will need strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality repair and maintenance work.

About the Organisation

This is an independent social enterprise providing specialist therapeutic education in London. We support neurodiverse children and young people aged 7 to 19 with special educational needs and disabilities, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Many of the young people we work with have experienced disrupted education and significant challenges, including multiple placement breakdowns and extended periods out of school. Our approach focuses on personalised, holistic programmes designed to support each individual’s development and progress.
