HP11 Primary School Setting

ASAP/September Start Long–term Opportunity

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the HP11 area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing school environment and make a real difference in supporting pupils learning and development.

This role would suit a patient, caring, and proactive individual who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and thrive in the classroom.

The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils learning, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will play a key role in helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groupsAssisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation of resourcesProviding targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN)Encouraging pupils confidence, independence, and engagement in learningSupporting pupils social, emotional, and behavioural developmentHelping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environmentMonitoring and reporting on pupil progress to the class teacherWorking collaboratively with teachers, staff, and external professionals Requirements Previous experience working with children (school–based experience desirable)A patient, supportive, and positive approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to build strong relationships with pupils and staffA genuine passion for supporting children s development Desirable: Experience supporting pupils with SENRelevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification)Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Why This Role?
