Description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Exams Officer to manage the smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations. You will be responsible for exam timetabling, entry submissions, invigilation arrangements, and ensuring full compliance with awarding body regulations. Attention to detail, strong IT skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. You'll liaise with staff, students, and exam boards to coordinate every stage of the exam cycle. Experience in a similar role is desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate. Join our team and play a key role in student success.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Information Services Department as a Exams Officer on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

Business Qualification at level 3 (or commitment to work towards)

Level 2 English & Maths

Experience of effectively planning, preparing, and delivering Examinations and Assessments to JCQ regulations in a college environment

Proficient in IT Systems & Microsoft office

Full understanding and knowledge of the Exam and Achievement cycle

Interpreting and following policies and procedures and regulations to disseminate information accordingly

Understanding and knowledge of JCQ Regulations and Awarding Body systems and portals

Strong communication and networking skills to develop effective value driven relationships

Effective IT skills

To be proactive in the implementation of new processes and technologies

Strong organisational skills, working to deadlines, manage own and team workflow.

Effective mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to train and develop.

Effective Customer Service skills

Strong ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals

Co-ordination of work/tasks

Ability to build strong working relationships with customersSafeguarding
