Exam Invigilators Required – Harlow, Essex

Start Date: 11th May | Duration: 6 Weeks | £16.85 per hour

Monday to Friday | 08:30am – 15:30pm

We Staff Education are currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support a secondary school in Harlow, Essex throughout the upcoming exam period.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a school environment or secure consistent, short-term work in education.

The Role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring exams run smoothly, fairly, and in line with strict regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing exam rooms prior to each session (setting up desks, placing exam materials, ensuring correct layouts)

* Welcoming students into the exam hall and ensuring a calm and organised entry

* Checking attendance and confirming student identification where required

* Clearly communicating exam instructions and expectations

* Supervising students throughout the exam, maintaining a quiet and controlled environment

* Monitoring behaviour and ensuring exam regulations are followed at all times

* Responding to student queries appropriately without compromising exam conditions

* Recording any incidents, irregularities, or breaches of exam rules

* Collecting, checking, and securely returning exam papers at the end of each session

* Supporting with the safe dismissal of students

Requirements

* Enhanced DBS on xjnqpsq the Update Service (essential)

* Previous experience is preferred but not essential

* Strong attention to detail and reliability

* Ability to remain calm, vigilant, and professional at all times

* Clear communication and confidence working with young people

What You Need to Know

* Full-time: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 15:30pm

* £16.85 per hour

* Full training will be provided by the school
