Description

We’re looking for a passionate ESOL teacher to join our team, delivering engaging and supportive learning to 14–19-year-olds with complex needs and behaviours. This role focuses on creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports progress in English, Maths, and personal development. This part-time role is working 22hrs per week over sets days, also this is a term-time only position.

You’ll play a key role in behaviour management, student support, and driving strong outcomes in achievement, engagement, and progression. Working closely with the Lead Teacher, you’ll contribute to delivering an education provision that aims to be judged “Good” or “Outstanding” by Ofsted.

What You’ll Do

* Teach ESOL (Pre-entry to Level 2) and Functional Skills Maths (Entry level).

* Plan and deliver lessons that are inclusive, engaging, and tailored to individual needs.

* Create a positive, respectful classroom culture that celebrates diversity.

* Monitor and report on student progress using college systems.

* Manage behaviour effectively, both in your classroom and across the site.

* Work closely with parents/carers to support student achievement.

* Contribute to curriculum planning, quality assurance, and subject development.

* Support pastoral care and wellbeing of learners.

* Complete admin tasks including registers, assessment records, and exam entries.

What We’re Looking For

* Experience teaching ESOL and/or Functional Skills Maths/English.

* Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.

* Passion for working with young people with complex needs.

* Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with students and staff.

* A flexible, resilient, and learner-focused approach.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on young people’s lives—while benefiting from a term-time schedule and part-time hours
