Smile Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Shrewsbury area.

Duties and Responsibilities

Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging and purposeful English lessons.

Marking and assessing work in line with school expectations.

Differentiating and adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.

Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages students to develop their confidence and communication skills.

Working collaboratively within the English department to support the continued success and development of the faculty.

Teaching English up to GCSE level, with flexibility to teach A Level where required.

Supporting students to make strong academic progress and achieve their full potential.The School Are Looking For

English ECTs or fully qualified English Teachers.

Experience teaching English within UK secondary school classrooms.

Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.

Experience teaching GCSE English and familiarity with relevant examination boards.

A genuine passion for English and the ability to inspire and engage students.

A calm, professional and confident classroom presence.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
