Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets

Salary: £90 – £105 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 3:45 pm

About the Role:

We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support, helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Morning Support: Provide focused support for students with SEMH needs (including ADHD and self-harming behaviours).

Afternoon Flexibility: Assist across Key Stages 1 and 2 as needed, adapting your support to suit different age groups.

Inclusive Learning: Help create a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels included and supported.

Collaborative Approach: Work with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised support plans and interventions.

Build Positive Relationships: Foster trust and positive connections with students to help them develop and grow.

Personal Care: Support children’s individual needs, including nappy changing where necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience as an Early Years Teaching Assistant, Nursery Assistant, or similar role (preferred).

Confident supporting children with SEN and personal care needs, including nappy changing.

A proactive, patient, and resilient approach to working with young learners.

Good understanding of safeguarding, SEN, and child protection practices.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to adapt and work both collaboratively and independently.

Please note: This role requires a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful candidates must complete all background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
