About the Role

We are seeking an organised, reliable and detail–focused Data Assistant to join our busy secondary school in Tower Hamlets.

Working 2 days per week, you will play an important role in supporting the accurate and efficient management of school data. You will work closely with colleagues across the school to maintain student records, produce reports and ensure that key information is accurate, up to date and readily available.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong attention to detail and would like to contribute to the smooth running of a thriving school.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update student and school data accurately and efficiently. Input, check and manage information across the school's management information systems. Assist with the preparation of data reports, lists and analysis for staff and school leaders. Support assessment, attendance, behaviour and student tracking processes. Identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. Assist with school census and other statutory data returns, where required. Produce reports and information for meetings, parents/carers and external agencies. Work collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, administrative and leadership staff. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information appropriately. Provide general administrative support relating to school data as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to their work. Is confident working with spreadsheets and databases. Has good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. Can work accurately to deadlines and manage competing priorities. Has strong communication and organisational skills. Is proactive, dependable and able to work independently. Understands the importance of confidentiality when working with sensitive information. Has previous experience working with data or in an administrative role. Experience within a school environment would be advantageous but is not essential. What We Offer

A supportive and welcoming school environment. The opportunity to make a real contribution to the effective running of the school. A role offering flexibility through a 2–day working week. The opportunity to work alongside experienced and dedicated colleagues. A positive and inclusive working environment in the heart of Tower Hamlets.
