Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated Cover Teacher to join welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in the Watford area, starting this September.

This full–time role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working across Key Stages 3 and 4 and is confident delivering lessons across a range of secondary subjects. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment while ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

You will be responsible for delivering pre–prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, monitoring student engagement and supporting students with their learning. The role also offers opportunities to become involved in extra–curricular activities and wider school initiatives, helping to enrich the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre–prepared lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Maintain a positive, safe and well–managed classroom environment

• Monitor and support students' engagement, behaviour and progress

• Follow lesson plans and school policies to ensure continuity of learning

• Liaise with teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour and any relevant concerns

• Contribution to extra–curricular activities and after–school clubs

• Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes

Requirements:

• Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)

• Secondary classroom experience

• Passion for the development of learning

• Excellent classroom management skills

• Adaptability and confidence working across different year groups and subjects

• Inclusive ethics

• Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
