Tradewind Recruitment is looking for confident, reliable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to support a range of busy secondary schools in and around Daventry. As schools continue to experience high demand for cover support, we are seeking individuals who can step into the classroom, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students stay on task during teacher absences.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants looking to progress, or anyone with strong communication and leadership skills who enjoys working with young people. You do not need Qualified Teacher Status to apply - just the confidence to lead a classroom, the ability to build rapport quickly, and a calm, professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.

Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged.

Manage behaviour in line with school policies, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies.

Respond to questions, promote independent learning, and keep students motivated.

Provide feedback to teaching staff on classroom activity and student progress.

Support the wider school environment when required, such as helping with break duties or supporting interventions.
