Core Subjects Tutor – Havant

Support Learners Across English, Maths & Science

We're looking for a Core Subjects Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people in Havant and the surrounding Hampshire area.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support learners who require alternative educational provision, helping them make progress in English, Maths, and Science while building confidence and developing a positive relationship with learning. Many students have experienced disruption to their education and benefit from a tailored approach that focuses on their individual needs and goals.

This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for education professionals who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar rolesStrong knowledge of one or more core subjects: English, Maths, or ScienceAbility to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessionsExperience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirableStrong communication and relationship–building skillsPatient, adaptable, and supportive approachEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain oneDriver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within the Havant area
