About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Conduct and Respect Advisor to play a key role in promoting dignity and respect at the University. In this vital position, you will respond to disclosures of misconduct, providing essential support and guidance to those impacted. You will also assist with the resolution of cases at both informal and formal levels, offering expert advice to networks across the University and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to disclosures involving sexual misconduct, hate incidents, harassment, and abuse.Conduct investigations for alleged breaches of the University's disciplinary regulations.Perform dynamic risk assessments to promote the safety of our community.Prepare case files for decision–makers and present at Disciplinary Panel Hearings.Work collaboratively with external agencies, including the police, social work, and probation services.Resolve tensions and de–escalate problems that may disrupt community cohesion or wellbeing.About You

Essential: You must have an in–depth knowledge of the law as it relates to equality, harassment, sexual violence, Safeguarding, Freedom of Speech, and GDPR.Essential: You will need an up–to–date knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and the principles of natural justice.Essential: You must possess high levels of personal resilience and actively champion respect, inclusivity, equality, and diversity.Essential: You must hold a Level 3 qualification (e.g., A–levels) or equivalent non–UK/professional experience.Desirable: Experience in investigative casework or skills in conflict resolution, mediation, or restorative justice are highly desirable.
