Type: Contract/Permanent

Hours: Full Time (Term time only)

Location: Leeds an West Yorkshire

The Role:

Veritas Education are working with a number of special educational needs schools in the Leeds and West Yorkshire area, looking specifically for Communication Support staff members. Veritas have a number of positions available, from working with Early Years and Primary age groups, to the post 16/young adult classes.

The ideal candidate:

Previous experience supporting child and young adults with communication needs and requirements.

Previous experience and knowledge around different communication aids, such as PECS, Makaton, and British Sign Language.

Comfortable supporting learners who have a range of communication needs, including learners who are non-verbal, to learners who are pre-verbal/in the process of developing their communication abilities.

Confident in delivering appropriate support to a range of communication and learning needs.

Able to support on a 1-2-1 basis with specific learners, delivering targeted intervention and activities focused on developing their communication skills.Please apply to the role direct, or email a copy of your CV to George Walton -
