We're looking for enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join school kitchens across the Wirral, with immediate start opportunities available. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team and takes pride in providing nutritious meals to students every day.

About the Role:

We are seeking Catering Assistants to support the smooth running of school kitchen operations. Working under the direction of the Kitchen Manager or Catering Supervisor, you will prepare food, serve meals, assist with cleaning duties, and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety at all times. This is a fast-paced but rewarding role within a friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food

* Set up and clear down the dining area before and after meal service

* Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas

* Operate kitchen equipment safely and in line with training

* Follow all food hygiene, safety, and allergen procedures

* Work as part of a team to support smooth and efficient service

* Provide excellent customer service to students and staff

What We're Looking For:

*Previous experience in a catering or food service role (school environment preferred but not essential)

* Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (essential)

* Good understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

* A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
