Job Title: Carpentry Tutor / Trainer (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent (Centre based)

Salary: up to £34,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

Must hold your own Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry.

Must hold solid occupational competency within Carpentry.

Have experience of delivering training ‘on the job’ or workshops to 1-1 / groups of learners

Willingness to work towards Award in Education and Training - fully funded and supported by employer.

Confident to deliver in a classroom/workshop based setting.

Must be IT Literate.Duties include:

Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Carpentry within a classroom-based environment.

Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours

Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.

Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.

Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.

Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.Personal Skills:

Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively

Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
