Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer

Location: Hartlepool

Hours per week: 18 hours

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Protocol Education is working in partnership with a college seeking a dedicated Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to deliver engaging and practical lessons to Level 1 students. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or industry professional looking to transition into education and make a lasting impact on learners beginning their construction careers.

The Role

You will be responsible for teaching and supporting Level 1 Carpentry & Joinery students, helping them develop the practical skills, technical knowledge, and confidence required to progress within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering engaging Carpentry & Joinery lessons to Level 1 learners.

Teaching both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory.

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals.

Maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.

Promoting industry standards, health and safety, and best practice throughout all sessions.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience within Carpentry & Joinery or the wider construction industry.

Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience (desirable but not essential).

A recognised Carpentry & Joinery qualification.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A passion for supporting and inspiring young people.

An understanding of health and safety requirements within workshop environments.
