Breakfast & After School Club Playworker – Long Term

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 23.75 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Morning: 7:15am–9:00am

Afternoon: 3:15pm–6:15pm

Location: Bolton

Long–term supply pending recruitment as there is a vacancy

Do you love working with children and creating a fun, welcoming environment where they can enjoy their time before and after school?

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Playworker to join a busy Out of School Club on a long–term supply basis in a wonderful Primary School/

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working with primary–aged children and is looking for a consistent role with every school day worked, but plenty of free time in between shifts!

The Role

Working with children aged 4–11, you will help make the breakfast and after–school club a safe, happy and engaging place to be. You'll:

Plan and deliver fun, creative and age–appropriate play activitiesEncourage positive behaviour and support children's emotional wellbeingHelp create an inclusive environment where every child feels welcomeEnsure children are safe, happy and well cared forBuild positive relationships with children, parents and school staffWork closely with the wider club and school teamUse your initiative to keep sessions running smoothly

We would love to hear from you if you:

Have previous experience working with children aged 4–11Understand that every child and family has different needsAre creative, enthusiastic and confident organising activitiesHave a warm and positive approach to behaviourAre a good communicator and team playerHave plenty of common sense, initiative and sound judgementCan provide a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for childrenHave a good standard of spoken and written EnglishFirst Aid, Food Hygiene and/or Safeguarding certificates would be advantageous, but are not essential.

This is expected to be a long–term supply position while the school recruits permanently, making it ideal for someone looking for regular, reliable work throughout the school term.
