Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Sheffield, S6

Pay Rate: £95 – £130 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools in Sheffield (S6) immediately. This role is perfect for individuals who want to support pupils with behavioural needs and contribute to a positive learning environment.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students experiencing behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties, working closely with teaching and pastoral teams to promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:

Deliver one-to-one or small group behavioural support tailored to individual pupil needs.

Implement and assist with behaviour management plans and strategies.

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and positive behaviour.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adapt support.

Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) or behavioural needs.

Calm, patient, and resilient approach to managing challenging behaviour.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
