Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant role:
Have experience supporting children or young people with behavioural challenges or emotional needs
Be calm, patient, and resilient with a positive, proactive attitude
Be passionate about inclusive education and youth development
Have experience working in education, youth work, psychology, or care settings (desirable)
Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with challenging behaviour, Autism, and mental health needs
Help promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and a safe learning space
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to provide consistent, tailored support
Play a vital role in boosting confidence, well-being, and academic progress
Ideal for psychology, education, or health-related graduates looking to develop a career in teaching, child psychology, or youth work
To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
