Location: Newbury, Berkshire

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £90 - £105 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them achieve success in education?

A specialist school in Newbury is seeking a dedicated ASD Support professional to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

As an ASD Support member of staff, you will work closely with pupils who have varying levels of autism, supporting them within the classroom and throughout the school day. You will help students build confidence, improve communication skills, and access learning in a structured and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing tailored 1:1 and small group ASD Support

Assisting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation

Supporting teachers in delivering personalised learning activities

Encouraging positive engagement in lessons and school life

Working closely with SEN staff, teachers, and external professionals

Helping maintain a calm, predictable, and inclusive environmentThis ASD Support role is ideal for graduates interested in psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, education, or SEN support. Previous experience working with children with autism would be beneficial but is not essential.

The successful ASD Support candidate will receive ongoing training and valuable experience within a highly supportive setting.
