A fantastic secondary school in Newham is currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join their team on a long–term, term–time–only basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for Art and Design who enjoys working in a busy school environment and supporting both teachers and students.

The Role

As an Art Technician, you will play an important role in supporting the school's Art Department. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and organising materials and resources for art lessonsSupporting teachers with practical classroom activitiesMaintaining art equipment, tools and materialsEnsuring art rooms and workspaces are clean, safe and well organisedHelping students access and use equipment safelySupporting the smooth day–to–day running of the Art DepartmentAssisting with displays, exhibitions and student artwork where required

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who is:

Experienced in an Art Technician or similar practical roleConfident working with a range of art materials and equipmentOrganised, reliable and proactiveCreative and enthusiastic about supporting young peopleAble to work effectively as part of a school teamCommitted to maintaining a safe and positive learning environmentPrevious experience working in a secondary school is desirable but not essential.
