Description
3D Design Teacher
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time 3D Design Teacher to work in an exceptional Private School on the outskirts of York, starting ideally starting August 26th, and lasting until Christmas 2025. This is to cover a vacant position, so while this opportunity is initially temporary, there is the strong possibility for the position to become permanent so long as the successful candidate is enjoying the role and is performing capably. Payment for this position will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, from M1 to UPS 3, meaning the offered salary will be between 32,916 to 51,042 per year, scaled to a daily rate of between 168.80 to 261.78 per day. This position will be five days per week, but there is room for part time for a suitably qualified candidate.
This role will involve teaching 3D Design to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, specifically teaching GCSE and A Level 3D Design. This is an extremely popular course and has a fantastic uptake of extremely motivated and creative students. The school adheres to the AQA specification, so experience with this specification is ideal for the school. Full planning and marking will be expected for this role, hence the payment to scale. Ideally experience teaching 3D design to A Level is required for this role, but practitioners who have taught to A Level and have the required skill and subject knowledge will be eagerly spoken to for the position.
This school is located just outside of York in a lovely rural campus, catering to students aged between 1 and 18. This is a private school with a fantastic reputation in the local area. The working day is slightly longer (4:30PM finish with one mandatory 6PM finish for staff training), but the school holidays are longer with more time off, making it appealing for family life or travel. Student behaviour is not usually a problem at the setting, giving teachers more time to focus on delivering exceptional lessons for their students. The school is most easily accessed via car.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.
