Play Leader SEN Secondary School

Are you enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? A fantastic SEN secondary school in Worthing is looking for a Play Leader to join their team and make a real difference in students' lives.

Worthing, West Sussex

Hours: 10.30-1.30, Monday-Friday, term-time only

Pay: £13.69 per hour

About the Role:

As a Play Leader, you’ll support students aged 11–16 with special educational needs, helping to create a safe, fun, and structured environment during break times and enrichment activities. You’ll plan and lead engaging play sessions, encourage social interaction, and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Organising indoor and outdoor play activities tailored to individual needs

* Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and other additional needs

* Promoting inclusive play and social development

* Working closely with teaching and support staff to ensure continuity of care

* Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students

We’re Looking For:

* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting

* A warm, energetic personality with a genuine passion for helping others

* Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
