Location: Worthing

Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day

Start Date: Immediate

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support students with additional needs in a nurturing school environment?

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Worthing. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the learning journey of pupils with special educational needs.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with their learning and emotional well-being.

Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Assist with personal care, mobility, or communication needs where required.

Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem in pupils.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational or care setting.

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine desire to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
