Suzuki TS250A (first registered 23rd November 1976)

Suzuki TS250A was purchased by the current owner in October 2023 from Pat Sharp (DJ and Music personality) who had owned it since July 2008. Pat Sharp purchased it from someone who had completed a full “nuts and bolts” restoration using genuine /new old stock parts to get it back to as near to new condition as possible.

The frame, swinging arm and all other parts were stripped, sand blasted, polished and finally powder coated. All nut, bolts, washers spindles, spacers and cycle parts were professionally re-zinc plated to the highest standard. The tank and side panel were resprayed in the original colour. It also had new SUZUKI decals added and then clear lacquer applied to seal them.

The engine was completely stripped and fitted with new bearings, seals, gaskets and also had a new gear change shaft and lever fitted. The crank cases and engine covers were stripped, blasted and resprayed. It had a new clutch casing and sprocket cover fitted. Both wheels were stripped, bead blasted and then fitter with new Suzuki genuine spokes. The front wheel also had a new old stock alloy rim fitted. Both wheels had new bearings, cush drive rubbers, rim tapes, inner tubes and brake linings fitted.

The bike also had new taper head bearings fitted. The swinging arm had new bushes, spacers. nut and spindle fitted. The wiring loom was replaced along with a new CDI, coil and horn. L/H switch, battery, flasher relay, bulbs, ignition switch and rectifier. A new seat was fitted and other new parts at the time included mud guards, petrol cap, exhaust guard, handlebars, rear light assembly, headlight with new rim, tacho, all new chrome trims, new grips, cables, chain and sprockets (genuine). The rear shock absorbers were stripped and re-sprayed the springs and guides re-chromed. These shock absorbers are ultra-rare and only fitted the 1976 model

This classic bike runs really well and is very responsive. It’s registered as a historic vehicle so no road tax or MOT required. The milometer shows about 30,000 miles. As far as I can tell it's done only 5,300 miles since it was refurbished. I've got a few spares and workshop manual that are included in the sale.
