THE AN650 BURGMAN 650 IS REFERRED TO AS THE EXECUTIVE SCOOTER IN THE UK, IT WAS THE FLAGSHIP BACK IN 2012 AND THE MAXI-SCOOTER IS DESIGNED FOR LONG-DISTANCE TOURING AND COMMUTING COMFORT.
THE 638cc LIQUID COOLED RUNS A PARALLEL TWIN, DOHC, 8 VALVE AND IS GOOD FOR 55hp AND AN IMPRESSIVE 62Nm OF TORQUE, FUEL INJECTION. ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CVT TRANSMISSION WITH A 5-SPEED MANUAL THUMB SHIFT MODE IF PREFERRED TO THE NORMAL TWIST AND GO.
SEAT HEIGHT IS A FRIENDLY 755mm MAKING THESE A GREAT EASY ACCESS SCOOTER, AND THE PERFECT TWO-UP CRUISER ESPECIALLY EQUIPPED WITH THE TOP BOX AS ON THIS NICE EXAMPLE. WET WEIGHT IS 277kg SO IS QUITE HEAVY FOR A SCOOTER, BUT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE SPEC AND SIZE OF IT YOU CAN SEE WHY, ONCE ON THE MOVE ALL THAT WEIGHT SEEMS TO JUST DISAPPEAR.
TOP SPEED WAS REPORTED BACK IN THE DAY AT OVER 100mph AND HAS EXCELLENT WIND AND WEATHER PROTECTION. STRONG MOTORWAY CRUISING CAPABILITIES WERE ALSO A STRONG POINT ON THE AN650.
ABS, ELECTRONIC WINDSCREEN, THE FOLDING MIRRORS ARE CURRENTLY NOT FOLDING AND AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN RAISED WITH OUR WORKSHOP TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE, HEATED GRIPS AND RIDER SEAT, LARGE UNDERSEAT STORAGE FOR 2 HELMETS, CENTRE STAND AND A PARKING BRAKE. THIS EXAMPLE HAS AN AFTERMARKET FRONT CAMERA ALSO FITTED. 8 SERVICE STAMPS IN THE BOOK AND THE LAST ONE COMPLETED IN APRIL 2026 @ 16787 MILES.
