Posting for under a monthHAY AAS 38 Low Bar Stool Orange Hee Welling Danish Designer Counter Height
Bromley, London
£75
Description
Genuine HAY About a Stool AAS 38 in orange — a Danish design classic by Hee Welling, in continuous production since 2012. The bar stool combines a moulded polypropylene shell with a sled-style steel base, giving it the distinctive industrial Scandinavian aesthetic HAY is famous for.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Brand: HAY (genuine, not a copy)
- Model: About a Stool AAS 38 (Low version)
- Designer: Hee Welling
- Colour: Orange (matches HAY's standard orange / soft brick
palette — please confirm exact shade preference)
- Shell: solid-coloured polypropylene, single moulded piece with integrated low backrest
- Base: tubular steel sled frame with footrest, chrome / stainless steel finish
- Seat height: 65cm (Low version — fits standard kitchen counter / breakfast bar)
- Overall: approximately 47cm W x 50cm D x 75cm H
CONDITION
Used. The orange shell has visible surface scratches across the seating area from previous use — please see close-up photo for an honest view. These are typical of HAY polypropylene shells in commercial / hospitality use; the matt finish shows marks easily and they don't polish out.
Frame is clean and undamaged — no rust, no bent rods, no flaking finish. All four gliders intact at the base. Stool is stable and sits flat.
WHY BUY USED
New HAY AAS 38 retails at £225-275 from authorised dealers. This one is a fraction of that price for the same genuine Danish design.
GREAT FOR
- Kitchen breakfast bar / island seating
- Home office or studio (proper designer kit)
- Café, restaurant or bar fit-out
- Architects' / designers' office
- Anyone wanting a real HAY piece on a budget
