Shiny Box 46MXL microphone, like new. rare, superb-sounding ribbon mic

Shiny Box 46MXL for sale. Top of the Shiny Box range, an extraordinary mic: my experience has been that this makes an ordinary solo violin or cello sound like a Strad. Used on 3 occasions before I stopped recording, so as-new condition. Always stored in a plastic bag with silica gel.

The vibe of a vintage ribbon mic but with top-quality modern components giving a much better top end and signal strength. I haven't heard another mic like it. Doesn't suit everything (esp. in a busy mix), but makes voices and instruments it DOES work for buttery-smooth and full, with huge presence (particularly used with a juicy preamp like a BG1).

Figure-8 polar pattern, like all ribbon mics. Comes with custom hard-case, padded pouch and shock-mount.

I bought this because of rave reviews of it and its lower-specced sibling, the MX, and wasn't disappointed. Will be irreplaceable (discontinued now, so sought-after), but is unlikely to get used, so looking for a new home where it'll be used and be appreciated.
