Ice & Ember is a brand-new boutique wellness and recovery studio coming to the heart of Wells, offering a unique space to relax, recharge and recover.
We’ll be bringing together sauna, cold-water plunge, ice baths, relaxation and movement, alongside a selection of health-focused drinks, creating a welcoming space where people can take time out from busy lives and invest in their health and wellbeing.
We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Wellness & Recovery Host to join us as we launch.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is genuinely passionate about wellness, fitness, health and recovery and would love to be part of building a new local business from the ground up.

The Role
As a Wellness & Recovery Host, you’ll be at the heart of the Ice & Ember experience. Hours include early mornings and one weekend day.
You’ll be responsible for welcoming customers, helping them feel comfortable and confident using our facilities, maintaining a clean and beautiful environment, and ensuring every customer leaves feeling refreshed and looked after.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Welcoming customers and providing a friendly, professional service
Managing bookings and checking customers in and out
Explaining the safe use of our sauna, cold-water plunge and ice bath
Completing daily health and safety checks and following our operating procedures
Ensuring customers understand our cold-water and sauna safety guidelines
Preparing and serving our range of health and wellness drinks
Keeping the changing rooms, relaxation areas and facilities clean, tidy and welcoming
Managing towels and laundry
Restocking drinks and other supplies
Completing opening and closing procedures
Following cleaning and maintenance checklists
Helping to maintain the calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Ice & Ember different
Answering customer questions and helping people get the most from their visit
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the studio
Helping to create a positive and friendly community around Ice & Ember

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a genuine passion for health, wellness and recovery
Is particularly interested in hot and cold therapy, sauna and cold-water immersion
Is naturally friendly, welcoming and confident around people
Has excellent customer service skills
Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail
Is clean, tidy and organised
Can work confidently both independently and as part of a small team
Is calm and responsible when dealing with safety procedures
Is enthusiastic about learning and developing their knowledge
Has a positive attitude and enjoys creating a great experience for others
Is comfortable taking responsibility and getting stuck in wherever needed

Experience
Previous experience in hospitality, fitness, health, wellness, spas, gyms or another customer-facing environment would be an advantage, but it isn't essential.
We’re much more interested in finding the right person and personality.
Full training will be provided on our facilities, procedures and customer experience.
Experience or qualifications in areas such as first aid, fitness, personal training, massage, sports therapy, health or wellness would be a bonus.
